Before the 20th century, the transportation through sea had been acted as the most important way for connecting large part of each Asian area and other continents. Usually the sea route is not possible to be limited by any powers of the land. Therefore we may easily feel that in anywhere the water of sea is connecting with each other. By this basic natural condition, if look the wide maritime history, we can understand a global cultural exchange in Asia with leaving from border of nations or ethnicities. For this purpose, we should see material evidences for Asian maritime history due to limitation of documental records before the European coming.
To reach to the target, understanding of Asian maritime history, in this course I will teach the outline of Asian ceramic trade history by 3 steps; basic knowledge of trade ceramic except Chinese wares, total chronological change (time), and special topics.
